Rodeo Drive Concours D’Elegance
The Rodeo Drive Committee, in association with the Ferrari Club of America, Southwest Region, presents the Concours D’Elegance on Father’s Day every year.
The Testarossa (Miami Vice) as well as its successor the 512TR (pictured below) are one of my all time favorite models.
'Would you prefer it in rosso Ferrari sir?'
Ferrari F512M (above)
Ferrari Enzo Ferrari (2002)
I've never seen so many Ferraris in one place... they were everywhere...
... and very rare cars too. This is a 1925 Rolls-Royce. Phantom I Aerodynamic Coupe, property of the Petersen Automotive Museum since 2001.
Even cops look sharper in Beverly Hills
... but not everyone is classy in the 90210...
Details are always nice

Bike and a Red-tailed Hawk
I had to complete an assignment with a couple of simple shots so I grabbed the backpack, the bike and off I went... everything turned more interesting when I saw this 'little' bird from the road at 50mph, the size of its silhouette caught my attention and I had to turn around. It really let me get very close at about 4 meters. I had only one lens with me and luckily it was my 70-200mm VR 2.8.
My transportation. The sun was setting and I got this shot of my Honda Shadow Sabre... I really love this motorcycle, I think it's the perfect size and the perfect prize.

The FIFA World Cup is on!
... and my team is playing tomorrow vs. Côte d'Ivoire. Unfortunately we don't have a good record against African sides in our opening game in a FIFA World Cup. We lost to an unknown Cameroon, 1-0, in Milan, Italy in 1990. I hope we do better this time... we beat Côte d'Ivoire 4-0 the first time we played against them in 1992 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia though.
I have plenty yerba mate for many many games and the official shirt is perfectly ironed.
AFA = Asociación del Futbol Argentino
VAMOS ARGENTINA CARAJO!!!

word-of-mouth
I made it a point to tell my positive experiences with products and services to others.
Let's start with the WaterField bag. I saw Mike Colón sliding out his MacBook Pro while geting ready for a presentation and this is one of those products that make you think "...nice, I got to get me one of those..." specially when you're a freak about the tiniest millimetric scratch on such a beautiful thing like an Apple computer.
This bag has the perfect fit, is cushioned with high-grade neoprene and wrapped in a ballistic nylon shell (YES, the stuff used in bullet-proof vests!).
Not only that, it's stylish and the price is right. You'll definitely get lots of compliments about the SleeveCase.
NOTE: On the sales receipt I got a handwritten note thanking me for my purchase... I've never seen that before... Thanks to you Mellisa, Tanja & Gary.

We've come a long ways...
I was driving by the condo's dumpster and saw this old TV with its remote sitting on top of it, I saw the thickness of it and the Wow! factor kicked in... I had to stop and pick it up. The TV was in very bad shape otherwise I would have picked it up for some cool shots in the middle of the desert or something.
I couldn't help but to compare it to the minimalist MacBook Pro remote which in conjunction with the laptop is used to activate Front Row and navigate through media, you can even use the remote to control Keynote presentations, very cool stuff.
Now, I'm not sure how this thing transmits the signal but I suspect there might be some radiation involved ;-)

Toys arrived
A couple of new toys arrived some days ago but I didn't have much time to play around with them. The new MacBook Pro 17-inch 'screams' design since the moment you see the box. The Nikkor 17-55mm 2.8 is heavy and voluminous but you forget about that when you see the sharpness of this thing.
I hope to put these to good use soon.

Mi Buenos Aires Querido
Everytime I come across this photo I wonder... how many times have I crossed this street? hundreds?... thousands? walking, running from the speeding cars, on the surface, underground, on a bus... everything seems so simple and quiet from up here. I don't know how I'll find you when I come back to you. I miss you Buenos Aires.
9 de Julio is an avenue in Buenos Aires, Argentina. At 140 meters, it is one of the world’s widest avenues. Its name honors Argentine Independence Day (July 9, 1816).
For my non-Argentinian friends, if you want to know what real tango sounds like, play the video below.
Carlos Gardel embodies the soul of the tango. He was killed in an airplane crash in Colombia at the height of his career in 1935.
